MAKHACHKALA, May 6 – RIA "Dagestan." Fedor Shchukin, the new Acting Head of Dagestan, thanked President Putin for his trust at his official presentation, describing the position as a tremendous responsibility. "I am Russian and have lived in Dagestan for over two years, visiting all 52 districts" Shchukin said. He pledged equal rights and unity for all peoples of the republic, expressed gratitude to Sergei Melikov (ex-governor) and vowed to complete all initiated projects. Shchukin prioritized support for natural disaster victims and highlighted systemic issues: energy and gas supply, unauthorized construction and socially significant projects. He called for teamwork based on honesty, openness and social mobility.
